Join us for a special screening of excerpts from Zhang Junqiu’s masterpiece Riverside Pavilion – a film that tells the thrilling story of a couple who is persecuted because of their love. The screening is followed by a discussion, hosted by Kam Wai Ling, a well-known Dan in Beijing Opera. In this talk, Ms Kam will share knowledge about this traditional Chinese art and the stagecraft of Zhang-style which incorporates the artistries of the Four Famous Dans. An interesting guide for everyone, even newcomers to this art form.
